Fins in Grover Beach wedding. Ryan and I eloped to Kauai in 2017. Before I became a wedding planner, I always thought I’d want this HUGE, lavish wedding. After being in the industry for 10 years, I slowly became “numb” to all the traditions of a wedding. Of course I pictured my first dance, and dance with my dad, but all of the other stuff just didn’t sound fun to me. I still wanted a huge celebration, but opted for an “open house” type of event. We served our favorite cuisine all night (mexican food), and ordered the most delicious desserts. I would not change our decision to elope for anything in the world.
